Bike Patrols Will Return
Yakima residents will see police biking their way through the downtown area next summer.
The Yakima Police Department has decided to bring back the bike patrol program after receiving positive feedback during its test run last Friday.
Officers will work in pairs to patrol the downtown area 7 days a week.
The program was originally cut back in the 90's due to a lack of funding.
Police will begin bike patrols when the school year ends.
