Taylor Files For Judicial Review, Motion to Stay Suspension
Former East Valley HS teacher Michele Taylor files for a judicial review of the decision by an administrative law judge upholding the one year suspension of her teaching certificate by the state superintendent's office.
Taylor and her lawyer have also filed a motion for a stay of that suspension. The East Valley School District wants to terminate Taylor for unprofessional conduct after she was accused of sending hundreds of texts to two students.
She was also found not guilty of criminal sexual misconduct involving those two students.
The filings claim that the district has not proven that it has enough evidence to fire Taylor and that any mistakes she made could be corrected through on the job counseling and training.
