Special Needs Rodeo In Pendelton
The 28th annual Children's Rodeo is nothing short of a good time.
Special needs kids from across Eastern Oregon fill the Pendelton Round Up Arena.
Kids rope cattle, ride horses and even milk cows- an event aimed at helping the children feel a sense of accomplishment.
"Everyday they wake up and its a new challenge- we set this up so these kids can come and not have a challenge," says director Karen Parker.
Not only do kids look forward to this rodeo every year- parents are getting just as much out of it.
"It shows you how much they've grown up in such a little bit of time with school and with sports and all that it show you that yes they have special needs but at the same time they are the same as anybody else," says Edwin Valencia.
