West Nile virus infections confirmed in two Wash. residents
A Yakima man is one of two Washington state residents infected by West Nile virus.
State health officials say the 30-year-old man and a woman from Pierce County are the first human cases in the state in two years.
Test results confirmed the infections earlier this week.
Precautions you can take to avoid mosquito bites are to use insect repellent where mosquitoes are most active and to stay indoors around sunrise and sunset when mosquitoes are most active.
