5K Run for Taylor Bridge Fire Victims Saturday
A 5K run is scheduled to start bright and early tomorrow morning to raise money for the victims of the Taylor Bridge Fire.
A woman from West Richland organized the event when she saw what the fire was doing to families across Kittitas County.
Katy Clawson, West Richland, attending Central Washington University, and she said the run was the best way to help out the victims of this terrible tragedy.
"Now that the fire's done, now it's time to rebuild," Clawson said. "so we're having a fundraiser to give to the Red Cross Disaster Relief...to go and help rebuild those houses and get the families back to the way they were before the fires happened."
You can check in for the race at 8:00 A.M. at the Badger Mountain Park in West Richland, the race starts at 9:00 A.M.
There are already 250 people who have signed up for the race, and participants will receive several gift certificates and chances at prizes.
