Woman injured in drive by shooting in Yakima
Home Struck During Drive-by
A 68-year-old woman was shot in the leg while lying in bed inside her Yakima home this morning.
Police say they responded to the 200 block of N. 9th Street about 7:30 a.m. today.
Police don't have any information on a suspect, but learned the home had been occupied by gang members in the past.
Currently, however, the family who lives in the home now doesn't appear to have any gang connections.
The woman who was injured was transported to a local hospital.
Her leg injuries are non-life threatening.
