Fire Destroys Moxee Home
A family of eight is out of its home after an early morning fire burns a mobile home to the ground in Moxee.
One of the occupants, Mark Dean, says he was woken by heat coming from the rear end of the building on Praire Road.
The family evacuated just before firefighters arrived.
Dean says after crews knocked down the fire, people from the community have been stopping by with donations for him and his family.
"People were bringing us blankets and clothing, food. And just giving us a lot of support. You know, it feels good to know the community is with us, it just means a lot to us. Because, we did lose everything," said Dean.
The family is also receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation --- damage is estimated at $80,000.
