Yakima City Council adopts a resolution supporting the six-month moratorium.

City Manager Tony O'Rourke says the council opened up a public hearing for people to offer their suggestions, which the council will consider while ironing out guidelines.

O'Rourke says the moratorium gives the city council enough time to look through state laws and develop a new policy regarding adult businesses.

The moratorium was put into effect last month and will last until January of 2013.
