Dia de los Muertos in Yakima
People in Yakima are invited to attend a week-long exhibit featuring altars dedicated those who have passed.
The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association is hosting it's 8th annual "Day of the Dead" event at the old Yakima Mall.
It features over 30 different altars, donated by local residents and businesses -- each with their own cultural twist added to it.
Planners hope those who visit the exhibit will take away a few lessons from the Hispanic holiday.
"It's really celebrating the lives of these people who have passed away, more than just talking about ghosts and goblins, and that kind of thing," said Clara Eustis.
The exhibit is open from noon to 6, and will run through Saturday.
