Prosecutors file a request to have a 15-year-old tried as an adult for an alleged murder.

The boy was arrested Tuesday night in connection to the shooting death of 26 year old Octavio Rangel at the Yakima Transit Center.

He is facing charges of second degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The teenager is allegedly linked to 23 year old Irving Alvarez, who appeared in court today as well.

Police arrested Alvarez yesterday morning, he is currently being held on a one million dollar bail, and will be arraigned in two weeks.
