RSD psychologist receives state award
From the Richland School District:
Sharon Bradley, a school psychologist with the Richland School District, has been honored with the 2012 Best Practices in Interventions award by the Washington State Association of School Psychologists (WSASP).
The award recognizes Bradley for her leadership in developing and implementing social skills groups in her assigned schools, and collaborating with her fellow RSD psychologists to do the same in the schools they serve.
"We present this award to individuals who have demonstrated high quality application of school psychology practices," stated Susan Ruby, WSASP President. "Sharon has expanded the role of school psychology services and this has benefitted students in the Richland School District."
Bradley has been chair of the RSD's School Psychology Department for the past four years.
She has been invited to share her expertise at the 2013 WSASP Annual Conference in Spokane.
"Sharon is a leader and support person in her department and throughout the District," said Nita Kamphuis, RSD Director of Special Education. "She is always up for learning new strategies and trying new programs if it means students are affected in a positive way."
