SNOQUALMIE – Drivers headed over Snoqualmie Pass on eastbound Interstate 90 this afternoon should expect lengthy delays and reschedule their trips or choose alternate routes if possible.

I-90 is reduced to one lane in each direction between Hyak and Keechelus Lake Snowshed while crews finish paving the transitions between the existing freeway and a new wider section. All lanes were scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. Friday, but crews were unable to complete the work overnight. Today, progress has been slowed by rain and a stalled semi-truck in the construction zone. Crews hope to have all lanes open to traffic by 5 p.m.

Eastbound drivers should plan for more than an hour of extra travel time between North Bend and Ellensburg. For current conditions, click here.
