Sunnyside HS Holds Dedication
Over a hundred parents and students attend a dedication at Sunnyside High School tonight.
People were allowed to tour the hallways of the recently remodeled and expanded high school.
Voters approved a 36 million dollar bond in 2009 to update nearly every room of the school, and construct a new 2-story building to make room for it's 18 hundred students.
One student says the school's new look will reflect the high standards it holds for the students.
"I'm extremely grateful that our school board and our community have recognized the potential that our school holds. I really appreciate this building, but I also appreciate the students and faculty who have put in the time in order for us to succeed," said ASB President, Jessica Bonilla.
The school added over 45 thousand square feet to it's 177 thousand square foot campus.
