Pasco man dies in Grandview canal accident
A Pasco man drowns early Sunday morning after crashing into an irrigation canal in Grandview.
Police say 24-year-old Islas Magana was apparently trapped in 15 feet of water and his car wasn't spotted until eight hours later on the 800 block of North Elm Street.
Investigators believe the accident happened about 1 a.m. Sunday.
Police believe excessive speed was a likely cause of the accident.
