From the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office:

26-year old Adrian Bentura Ozuna, a prominent Sureno gang member from Sunnyside, was convicted by a jury today of Witness Intimidation.

The jury also found two aggravating gang factors, which would allow the judge to sentence Ozuna to 10 years in prison.

The charges stem from his intimidation of a witness who testified against Ozuna in his 2009 criminal trial.

In the middle of the 2009 trial, Ozuna pled guilty and was convicted of Robbery First Degree, Attempting to Elude a Police Vehicle, and Second Degree Assault.

He is currently serving 129 months in prison on those charges.

The charges arose from a 2008 incident in which he stole a vehicle after displaying a firearm and then led police on a lengthy car pursuit throughout Sunnyside.

At one point during the pursuit, he tried to assault a police officer with the vehicle.

Ozuna has also been convicted of taking a motor vehicle without permission, residential burglary, felony drug charges, and drive-by shooting.

Sentencing is set for October 16.
