Richland Police Make Contract Deal
After more than a year of negotiating, the city of Richland finally reaches a contract agreement with it's police union.
Officers have been working without a contract for a year, and a state mediator had to step in to help out with the negotiations. The two sides were at an impasse regarding wages and benefits.
The new contract is retro-active to the beginning of 2012, it covers 54 sworn police officers and is effective through 2014.
