Rod's House Receives Grant
A drop-in center for homeless teens receives a $20,000 grant.
Rod's House in Yakima received the grant from the Yakima Valley Community Foundation last Friday.
The non-profit organization says it wil be used to assis homeless youth through a job readiness project -- that project evaluates a youth's skills, talents, and strengths, which are then connected to appropriate job or training opportunities.
Rod's House opened its doors in 2009, and has served more than 500 homeless youth in the area.
