The Apple Cup is about a week away, and the Yakima Rotary Club wants to know if the city should be known as Cougar-Ville or Husky-Ville.

Mascots from WSU and UW visited the convention center this morning to kick off the U Rule Yakima contest.

It's an online fundraiser put on by members of the Yakima Rotary.

People are asked to log on to the fundraiser's website and make a 20 dollar donation , while voting for the Cougars or the Huskies.

The money will be donated to local charities

The city will paint Yakima Avenue with the winning school's colors and hang banners and flags around town.

"In this community, you know that anything Husky-Cougar raises the blood pressure quite a bit. And the idea is, besides the blood pressure, let's raise some money; prove it, show me where your pride is," said Rotary Club member Dan Dwinell.

The donation period runs from tomorrow until the 26th.
