Man convicted of 2011 murder of informant
A man suspected of killing an imformant for the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office last year is convicted of first degree murder.
A jury deliberated for less than 2 hours in the case against 43-year-old Daniel Dodd.
Dodd is accused of fatally shooting 24-year-old Kevin Myrick outside Myrick's home in Walla Walla in June 2011.
Court documents state Myrick was an informant in a drug case against Dodd's girlfriend, Tina Taylor.
As for the jury's decision, the Walla Walla Police Department says there were no witnesses to the crime, but credit detectives for putting together a very strong case based on circumstantial evidence.
There were also no fingerprints or DNA to link Dodd to the crime.
