Exceptional Rodeo Welcomes Special Needs People
Forty cowboys and cowgirls participate in an exceptional rodeo at the TRAC in Pasco.
Participants of all ages teamed up with volunteers to experience such rodeo events as wild cow milking, calf roping, bull riding and barrel racing.
The annual event is put on by Rascal Rodeo, a local non-profit organization dedicated to giving people with special needs the chance to have fun with rodeo events.
Organizers say volunteers may only put in a few hours, but it's worth it because participants get so much more out of it.
The day ended with participants getting a goodie bag full of items, including autographs from professional bull riders.
