A 17-year-old gang member is sentenced to 49 years in prison today for a gang-related shooting.

Cesar Prado was convicted of attempted first degree murder and attempted second degree murder after shooting Brandon Parren, and his girlfriend, Angelia Deckard at local gas station.

Parren, a rival gang member, was shot in the neck and abdomen, while Deckard suffered gunshot wounds to her leg and shoulder.

Prado was 15 when authorities arrested him as a suspect, but was tried as an adult in court.

Prosecutors originally asked for a 52 year sentence for Prado, but it was reduced due to his age.
