Davis Remodel Is Underway
Construction is underway for renovations at A.C. Davis High School in Yakima.
The Yakima School District held a groundbreaking ceremony this morning at the site of a future math and science wing.
It's being paid for by a 114-million bond passed by Yakima voters in 2009 to rebuild Eisenhower High school and renovate Davis and Stanton Academy
School district officials are excited to have the schools modernized for future students.
"This is our last project and by the end of this one, every student in the yakima school district will be attending a state of the art school. And that's phenomenal," said Superintendent Elaine Beraza.
The school district expects to finish remodeling the school by 2015
