Suspicious device found outside Walla Walla home
A suspicious device found in a tree outside a Walla Walla home closes several streets for nearly 4 hours this afternoon.
The bomb squad responded to the 500 block of Bryant Avenue around 1:30 p.m. after an investigating officer observed a pipe attached by wire to a battery powered beeper.
The suspicious device ended up just being a pipe connected to what appeared to be parts of a smoke detector.
Police think the device was likely part of a hoax.
