CWU Professor Summits Mt Everest
After a dangerous patch of weather, that kills several people, a Central Washington University Professor makes it to the top of Mount Everest.
Early Saturday, Jon Kedrowski and his group took a 7 and a half hour hike from their base camp to the top of the mountain.
This is Kedrowski' s second attempt to the top after rescuing 4 stranded hikers last week, delaying his hike to the summit.
Jon's best friend and meteorologist for the trip says this was a lifelong dream of Jon's.
"It's really exciting and I am so proud of him, I mean he proved that you can climb the mountain, and climb it twice I mean thats essentially what he did, " says Chris Tomer.
Kedrowski plans to get a flight out of Nepal and back to the United States within a few days.
