Child care Center at River's Edge
Next fall more than twenty teen parents at Richland's River's Edge High School will have access to a childcare center right on campus.
Today the Richland school board approved a plan to work with the Boys and Girls club to create the center.
A portable building will be installed at the campus - paid for by grants and private donations.
School board president Rich Jansons says providing childcare to teen mothers will bring graduation rates for those girls up dramatically.
This project has been in the works for three years -- the childcare center is expected to be up and running when school resumes in the fall.
