Lowe's Donated $100,000

The Pasco School District receives a large grant to help it build houses for local families.

Lowe's gave the school district a check for $100,000 this afternoon.

The money will go toward the construction of Team Pasco Homes.

The houses are built by students from all three high schools in the city.

The students build one house a year and then sell them to people looking for a new home.

Students say the projects give them real-world work experience.

"They put the load on us, just by building this house. We had to think like professionals, and work as professionals" said Alejandro Pacheco, Pasco High School sophomore.

The students also showed off this year's Team Pasco Home today.

They say the extra money could help them build a bigger and better house next year.

Last year's home is still on the market.
