Umatilla Tribal Police investigate unexplained death
The Umatilla Tribal Police are investigating an unexplained death in Umatilla County.
Tribal police say 57 year old Orval Kipp of Mission, Oregon was found dead in the Umatilla River yesterday morning.
A resident passing by saw the body near the Umatilla River Bridge along Highway 331 on the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
Police say there are is no obvious evidence of foul play.
An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.
Tribal Police are now putting together a timeline of Kipp’s contacts and locations before his body was found.
