Koontz Sentenced to 10 Years for Manslaughter
A Benton City man found guilty of manslaughter in the stabbing death of a Grandview man last year, is sentenced to nearly ten years in prison.
Floyd Koontz stabbed 61 year old Pedro Flores outside the victim's home last Mother's Day. Koontz's sentence also includes two years for a weapons charge.
Prosecutors originally pursued first degree murder against Koontz, but the defense argued Koontz was acting in self defense.
