Hostess Warns of Possible Layoffs in Yakima

Hostess Company is warning employees in Washington state, including nine in Yakima, of possible layoffs within 60 days.
The South Central Workforce Council says it's on alert to help employees of the Hostess outlet store on West Washington Avenue. The agency says the company filed Chapter 11 banrkruptcy, which could affect 250 employees statewide.
Those employees would be eligible for employment and training services through Worksource. Employees say they've been hearing of possible layoffs since January.
