Home Sales Up, Prices Down
Home sales are up, but prices are still down in Yakima.
Realtors say the median price for a home in Yakima is in the low 140s or high 130s, 10 thousand dollars less than the last three years.
One real estate agent says compared to last year, they have already seen home sales jump 15 percent, pending transactions.
But a study put out by University of Washington says home sales in the county are up 6. 2 percent.
Realtors say a spike in home sales is largely due to the financing rates.
