Contract Adjustments For City Manager

Today the Yakima City Council met to review the new city manager's contract.
Tony O' Rourke, selected as Yakima'a next city manager last month, made minor adjustments to the contract for the council to look over.
If the city changed its style of government to a strong mayor, the city manager asked for 9 months of severance pay.
The council chose to drop that number down to only 6 months.
The city manager now has the contract to sign, if he approves it, the contract will be handed to the mayor to sign as well.
