Monday Swearing-In Ceremony for New Yakima Police Chief
NEW CHIEF OF POLICE YAKIMA
Yakima's newest police chief will start his first day on the job next Monday.
Dominic Rizzi will be officially sworn in during a ceremony at police headquarters at 10 a.m. Monday. Rizzi was chosen over six finalists by the interim city manager in March.
He's from Chicago, and served more than 25 years with that city's police department. Yakima has been without a permanent police chief since Sam Granato retired in January of 2011.
