Crews Cleaning Up Downtown

Temporary crews will be cleaning up the streets of downtown Yakima for the next few weeks.
The four workers hired by the Committee for Downtown Yakima will be raking leaves, cleaning out flower beds and picking up trash.
The city decided to sign a temporary contract with CDY to clean up 74 square blocks of downtown.
The city council will make a final decision to hire a permanent clean up contractor within the next few weeks.
