Goldendale Teacher's Aide Accused of Sexual Misconduct and Is Fired

A Goldendale High School teacher's assistant accused of having sex with a 16 year old student, is fired.
44 year old Cheri Powers is charged with sexual misconduct. Court documents reveal Powers engaged in sexual intercourse with the boy, identified only as "J.C."
The Goldendale School District superintendent says a community member alerted them to the allegations. He says Ppowers was fired a week later after an investigation.
Powers will arraigned on the charge on may seventh.
