Drowning in Burbank
Columbia Basin Dive Rescue crews as well as authorities from Franklin County and Walla Walla County have recovered the body of a 13 year old Pasco boy who drowned at Casey Pond in Burbank this afternoon on McNary National Wildlife Refuge land. The boy has been identified as Christian Espinoza Comsulo.
Walla Walla County Sheriff John Turner tells KAPP/KVEW that the boy, who was with his family, was walking in the water when he apparently fell in and was swept out to where the pond meets the Columbia River. The boy couldn't swim and was not wearing a life vest.
