Local Swimmer Swims At Olympic Trials
Lisa Bratton, Richland, swam in the 100 meter backstroke at the US Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska this morning.
Bratton is a sophomore at Delta High School and races for the Tri-City Channelcats.
She clocked in at 1:04:08 in the 100 meter backstroke this morning, and did not advance in her heat.
Her time was good for 121st place out of 162 swimmers.
Bratton will get a second crack at making the national team when she competes in the 200 meter backstroke on Saturday.
Natilee Ruiz, Othello, will swim in the 200 individual medley tomorrow.
Both Bratton and Ruiz will compete in the 200 meter backstroke on Saturday, while Cody Roberts, Richland will swim in the 100 meter butterfly on Saturday as well.
