UDATE: Alcohol a Facor in Fatal Boating Accident?
A crew took to the Snake River Tuesday afternoon to search for the body of Timmy Bowden, Finley.
Bowden drowned in the river after a boat he was in with four other people on Saturday night capsized.
Crews have been in the water since early Sunday morning looking for Bowden's body, but so far nothing has turned up.
The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Department reported Tuesday morning that it was looking into alcohol as a contributing factor in the boat capsizing.
Undersheriff Eddie Freyer said the department will be investigating how alcohol played a part, but the focus right now is finding Bowden's body.
The family released the following statement today:
"Timmy was a wonderful boy and he touched all the lives around him. This was a tragic accident and we are all devastated by what happened. We want to thank everyone who has helped us through this tough time."
