Gang Court Graduation
The first two juveniles enrolled in Yakima Gang court graduate the program today.
Both juveniles have been in the gang court since June of last year, when they voluntarily agreed to enter the program.
The teens were on a strict schedule and were required to see their judge as well as their probation counselor every week.
Since they entered the program both teens re-enrolled in school and completed the school yea, -and neither have been convicted of any crimes since enrolling.
There are currently 8 juveniles in gang court- but the judge says she is hoping to up that number to 20 within the next year.
