Remains Found in Kittitas Co.
ELLENSBURG, Wash. (AP) -- Kittitas County searchers have found more human remains as snow melts near Lake Keechelus, on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass, and they believe the remains are from a man.
The sheriff's office says remains were first reported May 13 by hikers in a heavily wooded area just south of the Lake Keechelus Dam. Searchers have recovered additional remains since then.
Members of Kittitas County Search and Rescue were back out on Thursday with anthropologists from Central Washington University, but no further remains were found.
The sheriff's office says forensics information will be checked with a data base for missing persons.
