Residents raise more than $300,000 to fight cancer
Relay For Life Event
People across our region helped fight cancer this weekend by raising more than $300,000 for the American Cancer Society.
The money was raised at three Relay For Life events in Kennewick, Walla Walla and Yakima.
Relay For Life is an overnight walk-a-thon, where teams of people donate money to walk non-stop for more than 12 hours.
The three events raised a total of $339,000.
