CWU fees to go up
In-state undergraduate students going to Central Washington University will pay at least $1,200 more this fall.
The school's board of trustees approved higher student fees and a 14 percent tuition hike on Friday.
A full-time student living on campus with a meal plan will pay about $17,371, compared to $16,135 this past year.
Every public college and university in Washington is raising tuition by double-digit percentages.
The higher costs come after state lawmakers cut public money for higher education and gave the universities permission for the large tuition increases to make up for the cuts.
