Del Monte Buys Old Snokist Building
A San Fransico based company purchases the old Snokist Growers cannery in Yakima.
Del Monte foods will be able to double its pear and cherry production with the newly acquired facility.
The company has not said specifically what the plans are for the cannery in Terrace Heights but they say they have already secured contracts with many local growers.
Snokist filed for bankruptcy back in December of 2011.
