Man Charged in Officer Involved Shooting
The man suspected of attempting to run over an officer with his car in Yakima is charged today.
Manuel Sanchez is charged with possession and intent to distribute methamphetamine after a undercover drug bust in the Home Depot parking lot yesterday.
After the transaction, officers say the suspect fled in his white minivan, and used his car as a deadly weapon toward an officer.
Police say one officer felt he was in immediate danger and fired several times.
Sanchez suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
