Man kicked out of Yakima City Hall
A Yakima man gets kicked out of city hall this morning.
Council members say a man spoke out during the council's study session on a parks district plan, giving his own opinions on how he would run the parks.
Mayor Micah Cawley asked the man to wait until the end of the meeting to speak, but he instead got up and made an obscene gesture before exiting the Council Chamber.
The man later returned, pounding on the chamber doors, before being escorted outside.
One council member describes the commotion.
"He kind of spoke up again, and he acted quite perturbed at us, but at that time, he didn't ask to speak anymore. He just kind of walked out," says Councilman Bill Lover.
Police later showed up to ensure the man did not return.
