SR 821 Landslide
A state route near Ellensburg opens after a mudslide buries a portion of the road in dirt and rocks.
A thunderstorm Tuesday evening caused a mudslide between milepost 17 to 25 in the Yakima River Canyon.
Crews say the road underneath the slide is in good condition and therefore they were able to open the road sooner.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews estimate that 50 dump truck loads of material were cleared off the roadway.
