Gang Members Arrested for Burglary
Sunnyside Police say they responded to reports on Sunday of suspicious people in the area knocking on doors.
Officials say the people are three juveniles who would knock on doors to see if the homeowners were gone.
Police say the juveniles entered an apartment in an attempt to burglarize the residence, but fled empty-handed when they discovered the resident was still home.
Police arrested the suspects and their adult lookout, Leonel Verduzco-Villalobos, who officials say shares a gang affiliation with the juveniles.
The juveniles were booked into Juvenile detention in Yakima for Residential Burglary, and Verduzco-Villalobos was booked into Yakima County Jail pending formal charging.
