Update: City approves route for east west corridor
New city manager meets with Yakima city council
The Yakima City Council takes the next steps to a new east west corridor to Terrace Heights.
The city council votes on a preferred route for an overpass from H street over I-82.
The council approved the route in a 6-0 vote last night.
The city says its a preliminary vote to choose a preferred route- but says construction for the project is years in the future.
The project would decrease traffic flow and congestion off of Yakima Avenue.
