Walla Walla County Road Damage Emergency

Several roads were washed out due to storms in the Walla Walla area last night, leading emergency management to declare an emergency. Below is the county's official release:

Walla Walla County has declared an emergency this morning at 11:30 am after receiving road closure reports from the Public Works Department. The road closures were caused by last night’s severe storm that washed a number of roads out and covered several other roads with debris.

Citizens traveling on County Roads are urged to be extremely cautious.

 

The following roads are closed:

 

Luckenbill Road – Certain areas of the road are gone.

Yox Road – Mud and debris completely blocking.

Woodward Canyon – Water over roadway and in other areas mud and debris covering roadway.

 

Below is a list of roads that are opened but received significant damage with mud and debris:

Babcock Road

Upton Road

Lower Monumental Road

Lamar Road

Greenville Road

Magellan Road

Simmons Road

Eureka North Road

Harsell Road

Greenville Road

Touchet North Road

Sudbury Road

Thiel Road

Walker School Road
