Kennewick Man Wins Powerball
A Kennewick man is Washington's newest millionaire as he is handed his winning powerball check.
Rodney Worthington wins 2 million dollars-and after taxes is given a check for 1.5 million dollars today.
Worthington is an electrician at Hanford's waste treatment plant.
He says the first thing he is going to do is pay off his house- and buy himself a new computer.
He says it still really hasn't hit him yet, and describes the moment he discovered he'd won.
"There was a guy that I work with actually standing next to me, looking at some kind of lotto board thing, when I scanned it off, I looked over at him, and I was just like I think I just won the lotto. and he goes 'no', are you for real' - I said I think so!"
Worthington purchased the winning powerball ticket at the Fred Meyer in Kennewick.
