Overnight Fire on Rattlesnake Mountain
An overnight fire on the South side of the Rattlesnake Mountain occured overnight, burning 300 to 500 acres.
The fire broke out at about 1AM and burned safe brush and cheat grass on the border of Benton City and Prosser.
Multiple agencies were called in to help. Crews tell us the fire was fully contained at 4AM. They believe a lightning strike was to blame.
